100 Days Action is a counternarrative to President-elect Trump’s one hundred day plan; a calendar of activism and artistic strategy; a call to thinkers, artists, and writers to propose gestures that can be carried out either at home or in the world. Whereas the President-elect’s 100 days will seek to dismantle restrictions that protect our environment, public education, health, and will jeopardize unprotected minority groups, 100 Days Action is a forum for resistance, an artistic coming-together a call to all bodies that stand opposed to the forces of hate and destruction, to act together.

The collective, 100 Days Action, is organized by a community of diverse San Francisco Bay Area artists, writers, and thinkers who have noticed the performative stamina of the president elect, the liminality of the “post-fact,” and the power of the symbol.

While in residence at Royal NoneSuch Gallery, 100 Days Action will host a series of events including an Inaugural Ball on Friday, January 20th where, among other event activities, gallery goers can swear to uphold the constitution on a book of their choosing (selections include On the Origin of Species, The Republic, Borderlands, and The Feminine Mystique). Prior to inauguration, RNG will serve as a place to organize leading up to January 20th and act as host for future interventions.

During the first 100 days of Trump’s presidency, actions will take place in a diverse range of spaces- both public and private, as well online-only formats. 100 Days Action’s calendar will feature one curated artistic response per day through their website and social media, but will also have a running list of all 100 Day Action events, both artistic and activist, happening each day.
